1. Eat pretzels, drink beer and enjoy life.

2. The best thing you can do is travel.

Best advice I ever got.  "don't sweat the small stuff".

Became a Shooting Star when I got my 1st guitar.
Back in '66, I was 13 and that was my fix.
Still shooting for stardom after all this time.
If I never make it, I'll still be fine.

Try to be more Christ like. Though I fail abysmally, it's a worthy path.

Of course, we can't possibly live up to this...it's his grace/Spirit in us that makes it possible.

When I get a chance to talk to really good musicians I always try to ask them what they think the most important thing is about playing music is. The number 1 answer isn't really about playing per se. It's LISTENING.
10-1614 more than a number, it's body and soul.

along those same lines, a good friend who is an excellent player, told me to record myself and listen. To improve both the playing and singing.

Tom Robbins .... one of my favorite writers, along with WS Churchill.  In fact, one of our dogs is named Winston Spencer.
As far as Clemens, I love Innocents Abroad ...... kind of like Steinbeck's Travels With Charlie.

Travels with Charlie is a favorite of mine. As far as my fellow Missourian, I like everything of his I've read. Some books many times.
I've moved three times since July 2016, so my personal library and many other things are still in storage.  But travels with Charlie is worth reading again. I have room to bring out my bookshelves and books. Just need to take the time.
