Hi everyone I am a new member of the forum.

I got my first Larrivee guitar earlier this year. It is a parlour (English spelling because I am English!) and is all walnut, it is absolutely gorgeous to look at with a wonderful sound. It feels so nice to play, I can hardly put it down.

Looking through the info online, I wondered if there is any way to tell whether it is "all American walnut" or "all Peruvian walnut"? (Doubt this makes much difference but I am just curious.)

Welcome to the forum! Try the serial number look-up sight from Larrivee. Not sure but maybe they'll give the wood specifics for origin?

I have been saving up for an all-walnut LS model for some time now, so I have been looking at the market. I'm not sure whether to get an -03 model or a higher-priced gloss model. I might be able to tell you what type of walnut it is by looking at a picture of your guitar. Sounds like a very sweet guitar. Congrats.
