Formally our 150th birthday I always think of my favourite Canadian - Gordon Lightfoot's words:

There was a time in this fair land when the railroad did not run
when the wild majestic mountains stood alone against the sun
Long before the white man and long before the wheel
when the green dark forest was too silent to be real
But time has no beginnings and hist'ry has no bounds
as to this verdant country they came from all around
They sailed upon her waterways and they walked the forests tall
built the mines, mills and the factories for the good of us all

We certainly have a country the envy of the world!

As soon as I began reading the words of this song, I heard Johnny Cash singing it. Probably because of his songs about native Americans.
     Anyway, HAPPY HAPPY (belated )

Happy Birthday to our friends from the north. Can we borrow your PM?

Hi Danny

Canadian Railroad Trilogy
Thanks ST, I have a best of Gordan Lightfoot C.D.
It was just reading the words that made me hear Cash sing/reading the words.

I do hope I didn't offend any of our friends to the north, by speaking my mind openly.

Hi Danny,
The link was intended as an act of sharing not correction. I learned something too. I didn't know that Gordon Lightfoot was commissioned to write that to celebrate the centennial, 50 years ago.

Cheers!

ST

"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...
