I went into my local guitar shop today to get some humipacks and decided to take a look at see what they had for guitars. I almost missed it but there was an OM-09 just sitting there (little surprised that it was hung so low on the wall). This was the first time that I had an opportunity to play one and can say I still can't get the smile off of my face. There were quite a few people gravitating towards the Gibson's and Martin's but I will say that 09 was the best of the lot. If I had the extra cash it would have came home with me I was that impressed crying

Sounds like my experience with an OM-09. Went to see what kind of Martin would be good to keep company with my L-03 and made the mistake of picking up the -09. The sound still haunts me; it was so pure. Needless to say I've got other guitars to keep my L-03 company but NOT a Martin in the bunch. To be fair, I DID own a Martin D-18 for about 15 years ago in the 60s and 70s but the -09 is the one I consider to have "gotten away".

My OM-01 is terrific. I can only imagine how nice the 09 is.

Don't get me wrong my D-04 (an 03 with a glass top) is a great guitar and puts a smile on my face every time I pick it up. The OM-09 just had something extra special. I can only imagine what the 50th plays like.
