List on the 40th was $4000, street price was around $3000.  Specs were master grade EIR and spruce tops, hand modified bracing.
The 45th was Silver Oak.

Ohhh.....  I didn't know about the bracing.  "Hand-modified", as in 'tuned'?  Having been spoiled on guitars with the bracing individually tuned/tap-toned, I don't know that I can go back.  :D  The 50th may have my attention (as might used 40ths).

Here's what I suspect....
It will be some version of an L body, perhaps with some non-standard exotic woods.  And, I imagine  it might be a limited run.  50 sounds like a fitting number.

I can only speak for the 40th Anniversary model, which I have.  They made 80 of those, so I guess 2 for each year of business.  So I would bet they will
make 100 of the 50th.

Pulling up this thread because the time is getting close. And someone from Larrivee confirmed on their Facebook page that it will be a Limited Edition - but they don't say how many (and there's no more info about body style, trim, etc. ... although there are a couple pics on the page of partial guitars that have people talking...)

Waiting... waiting...

Good to know, Walkman.

If the 50th Annie model has abalone body binding, I'm out. I have it on my C-10, and it's fine, but I don't want another guitar with it...

So, the cat's out of the bag.  If you haven't seen, Larrivee's facebook revealed the 50's special headstock inlay (I'd embed a pic but it's difficult on my phone).  I imagined we'd see something along those lines but I'm wondering about the rest of the "50th anniversary upgrades" they reference but didn't explain. Maybe they're holding out on the full reveal.

Edit; here's a pic for those without facebook;

It says "A very grateful first 50 years • #1 of limited 50 run (indicating headstock inlay)  (then goes on to say) *50th Anniversary upgrades available on all models"  Which means exactly what I said it did.

I don't know why it was kept such a secret.  The dealers received a letter about it a long time ago...

Not that I expected the 50'th to fit within my somewhat narrow range of interest these days but the inlay pretty much eliminates me as my last 5 guitar purchases have been slotted headstock guitars and that trend is unlikely to change soon. Just love that look. Wish they had a special inlay for the slotties.  crying

Neither of those is a 50th model. Wrong abalone, wrong fretboard inlay.

Maybe Wendy could put that 50th headstock inlay on a pick guard for you...

Yes, I LOVE the look of a torch on a slotted headstock.  I almost got my Collings with one but decided that I'd rather keep the extra $2,000.  :D

Well, the actual 50th guitar is pretty much as many of us predicted; a heavily inlaid L10 with Euro spruce top.  I'll keep my feelings about the price to myself for now...

I love the options package though!  Would like to see what knot they planned for the inlay (something JCL-related would be great), but overall it sounds like a fantastic way for everyone to get in on the anniversary.  How cool would it be to have a 1-of-a-kind Larrivee 50th?!  How about an all-mahogany, sunburst 000-40 50th anniversary model?  bigrin

Still waiting to see more photos. Especially of the rosette, and other "bling" Is it a standard LV-10 rosette? What's the Koa rosette look like on the options package?
