Hello, I've just bought a D-40. I don't know what kind of strings it has now, but I think they are dead. So I have decided to change them.
I'd like that you could advise me to choose the best strings for this guitar. I have thought about d'addario EXP 80/20  12-53 or Elixir 80/20 12-53.
Or would it be better these strings in P/B. If you know others better, tell me.
Thanks

For me I prefer the 80/20's,the P/B have never sounded correct to me.I also prefer a heavy string 14-58's

I really like martin medium Guage 80/20 bronze on my d 02 but the ernie ball aluminum bronze mediums are fantastic, very loud projection and clarity... Not that you'll need any more volume on the d 40.
