Anyone knows why RS 4 and 2 models and more commonly available than the Lancaster and Bakersfield?

    IMO there is a couple of reasons:


    the RS were made longer
    they were the first electric of the new generation so many purchased an electric who may otherwise not
    the RS is most unique of the bunch

I'm guessing there were a lot more RS models made than the other models?

Became a Shooting Star when I got my 1st guitar.
Back in '66, I was 13 and that was my fix.
Still shooting for stardom after all this time.

I already had a nice strat and a 80's Larrivee telecaster. The RS-4 was of way more nterest to me.
