Just like the title says.  My 2006 D-03-12 doesn't have a system and I gave my Dean Markley soundhole pickup away years ago.   I don't have any real world experience with anything recent.

Depends on what you are doing with it...

My acoustic pickup of choice is K&K Pure Western.  Coupled with a decent acoustic amp or PA, they are "like the guitar", but louder.

I'm using an active IBeam from Baggs in my Seagul 12 string. Before my Guild JF30/12 died after 26 years I had a Baggs Anthem SL installed.

I agree.  How you intend to use it is important.  I'm a big K&K fan.  I have it installed in my 1985 L-40 12-string and it sounds superb with not a lot of external eq. to fidget with.  I must admit, I don't have a lot of experience with the other popular systems currently available.  I would stay away from a system that relies primarily on an under-saddle transducer, though.  I think these can be especially problematic with a 12-string.  I say this without proof, but with just some experience in doing repairs and setups, with how these UST's can be fidgety even with 6 strings.
