Which PUPs are your favorite and why?

I'll answer that the same way I would answer questions like,
"what is your favourite venue to play?"...... the one i'm playing in now.
"what's your favourite song?"..... the one I'm playing right now.

Today at a rehearsal- I took the P90 Gold top.
 today it's my favourite RS4

well in all honesty, it isn't a fair question.
every guitar regardless of brand or electrics brings something different to the tone pallet.

It's like trying to make sense of "sound clips" of guitars.
SO MANY factors at play, type of mic, angle of mic, type of pre-amp, what if any EQ was added, then to YOUR listening situation,
type of speakers (coloured) amp & pre-amp, more colouring of sound.

every guitar has certain "sweet" spots, and those same "sweet spots" will change depending on who's playing them and how.
whether straight into amp tube or non, efx or not, bare fingers or pick, and on it goes.

I, like others have been pretty emphatic about what those guitars are all about.
No I can't say the same thing about my other Larrivee Electrics, including the malibu or the wonderful older eighties ones I have.
But I CAN say, they all have their own seat spot and attributes, and it takes time to find those lovely hidden aspects.

that's the beauty (one of many) of being a guitar owner/player/collector.
