Had a chance to snap a few "beauty shots" on the back deck last year; all Sapele; herringbone rosette.

Picked this up in New Zealand back in '11; it's been my mainstay since then.

For me, I have always more appreciated simplicity; and not being a huge abalone fan this spoke to me when I first came across it:

Nice guitar, Congrats. Didn’t heare a lot of sapele Larrivées. Didn’t see much either.

They did not make many, but the ones I have seen and/or played were very nice.

I've come across sapele back and sides Canadian models occasionally.

No idea how many of mine were produced. It was an odd supply chain; a business specializing in lawn mowers had a couple of Larrivee guitars up for auction including this one.

I don't recall them being part of a personal collection.
