Hey Guys--I am Larrivee deprived at the moment but I have a custom build coming in soon of a Halcyon Nick Lucas 00 with a Lutz top and Black Walnut B/S. In case you don't know, Halcyon is a two man shop in Vancouver headed by Ed Bond, a former Larrivee employee. When Larrivee moved out of BC down to L.A., Ed opted to stay home and build his own guitars. Looking forward to getting my hands on it!

Very nice. 13 fret ,,,thanks for the look-see.  I see he moved the saddle slot toward the center of the bridge too. Hope it's a dandy :guitar

Great looking guitar!  Let us know how it plays and sounds, whenever you can force yourself away from it for a few minutes...   :nice guitar:

I love the look of Ed's guitars. The NL-00 model took my particular fancy with the 13th fret joint.
Congratulations on yours - please share your experience with it

It's being shipped out today! There was a delay in securing the proper case.

It has arrived and here are some updated photos!
So I opted to add a Martin style 000 pickguard:

This is a nerdy tribute to the mongrel, stripped Gibson Nick Lucas played by this guy:

I've played sever Halcyon models (an AJ and an OM).  They sounded tinny and bland.

Didn't hold a candle to any larrivee's I've played.

Yes I'm resurrecting this thread.

I played my first Halcyon a few days ago. It was a NL-00. Torrified Lutz spruce over rosewood. There was nothing tinny and bland about this one. In fact it sounded huge, warm, and rich.

I guess there are variables in everything.
