WOWZERS CAPOS ARE NOW WHAT????

I had one. They are on their second edition, which improved a couple issues.
Mine was first edition. Beautiful and well made. It worked as promised, but:
What I didn't like - spring tension was too strong and made it hard to apply. They changed that and the fulcrum point on the second edition.
Also - if applied like other capo's, it was kind of clumsy. They actually recommended applying from the underside of the  neck.
It had a really large presence around the neck - more than I liked.

I believe they streamlined it a little more in 2nd edition.

This is also helpful info...still, they are very pricey.

Which is why I'll probably stick with some others. I also like the Planet Waves, but I've noticed on a couple of my Larrivees, the capo barely has enough tension to clamp down all the strings on the first few frets...are Larrivee's necks really that thin from front to back, or are my capoes wearing out?

I might give a G7 a try - if it doesn't have the same issue.

In addition to the rest of my museum, I have two G7th's.

The G7th Newport 6 works perfectly on my OM-03 (1 11/16" nut) and various other 1 3/4" nut guitars.

I use the  Newport 12 on my SD-03 (1 7/8" nut)

The 12 wasn't happy on my Seagull Walnut 12. I sent an e-mail with some photos to the folks at G7th and they sent me a replacement sleeve for the arm of the capo which give the grip it needed for the shallower neck of the Seagull.

The G7th's are very nice capos!

I agree, the G7th is the only one I ever got but works very fine for me.
