Just got this in needs a fret dressing, bone nut and saddle, new K+K pu install and an updated Grover tuners which will end up with pealiod tuner buttons. Its a shadetop finish and it plays like butter with very little relief in the neck after all these years.I'll post pix in the morning as the before and when done I'll post pix with the new dress.

I can almost hear the rich tones resonating out of that ol' guitar!

1970 would normally mean Indian Rosewood - is that what it is? Or did the employee have access to some Brazilian?

Thanks for sharing, unclrob!

Yes sir it is Indian Rosewood,Martin stopped using Brazillian I believe in 1969.She's a very nice sounding guitar and once again the 35 has proved to me that the others don't matter.I LOVE 35's.

Only 4 years away from half a century.

I have a 76 shaded top D-35 that I feel the same way about.

I got one of the D-35/50 models they built this year for the 50th Anniversary...it's almost a year old now, and I have to say, it is already a great sounding guitar. Love my Larrivees, but this is a special guitar as well!

Well she's done.New Grover tuners with pearliod buttons, bone nut and saddle, frets dressing that included re radiousing the near none existant frets. At some points in its life someone keeped replacing the first 5-6 frets,at some point someone leveled the frets flat and they no longer matched the fingerboard.A K+K has been installed to replace the very old Fishman.

I'd love to find one of those in near mint condition to trade my C-10 for. Love that burst!

I did some checking with some vintage people who told me it would sell for between 12k and 15k.A month ago they were offered 3k.
