I don't see many of these in Tallahassee. The one I played was a quilted mahogany, koa binding and a very straight and wide grain spruce top.Over all very pretty, playability was pretty good and the tone was nice.I will say that $12k new it doesn't stand out and my client got it used for $5k.Over all give me 3-4 Larrivee's for the used price and I'd be very happy.

I'd rather have ten  $500 cars than one $5,000.00 car
"Senior" member means "old" right?
Like over 50?

Too many guitars to list here.
Too few brain cells to be bothered with...

I'd rather have one really good guitar than 10 crappy ones.

I played a couple at The Podium a few years ago and, like you, thought they were nice but way overpriced. I also think the off set sound hole is more gimmick than anything else.

A lot of artists in the Christian genre play these.  They surely sound nice, but I'm not sure I could ever get used to the odd design.  I just like plain old guitars, and I'd rather have my plain old Larrivee dread than any kind of fancy guitar.
