I'd prefer hog on hog body. No spruce top for me.

I just read on FB that there was a US-01 released in 2004! So an all hog 01 would be perfect! But for now it reads that 03 is the lowest trim level this time around.

My request/ change would be to use a friction style tuner instead of the geared guitar style tuners that most are using these days. I think it would astechically set the Larrivee apart from the pack. Friction tuners are a bit more of a PITA to use but sure beat the look of those Mickey Mouse Ear style tuners. From a sound standpoint I'm sure whatever the Larrivees choose it will sound incredible. I prefer solid Mahogany or solid Koa in tenor size.
Just my 2 cents.

Ed, I think there are geared ukulele tuners that don't look like guitar tuners.

Those would be perfect. Hoping they (the Larrivees) are listening and decide to use those!(or at least offer them as an option)

so is any one interested in a forum uke?

I assume we'd need at least 10?

I'm another that would be interested in the concert size ... so I'm wondering if this could be one of those "Forum" builds that allowed the option of either concert or tenor size, with most (if not all) other specs being the same. This might mean we'd need 10 of each, which might be a high bar to meet for a forum uke versus a forum guitar build...especially if the price climbed over $1K.

Barring that, I could probably go for the tenor, since I currently have a concert size Cordoba.

A new website should be up soon which I guess will give more info about the ukes.

I'm pretty new to the forum, but a baritone forum uke would be nice. European spruce and silver oak perhaps. :)

Thanks for the link (and welcome to the forum)!

Anyone else notice the rosewood overlay on the back of the classical headstock? Nice touch!

Maybe they will change the tuners? Collings uses geared peg tuners on their ukuleles, but my Larrivee US-10K stays in tune perfectly with the friction pegs.

Thanks for that.  They all sound good to me (on my computer).  I think I liked the baritone the best though.
