Maple/koa handmade

Here are some pics of a guitar I have done some refinish and repairs on. It is a curious combination of wood. It's waiting in line for me to get back to working on it.








    Sorry about the quality of the pictures. When the refinish/repair continues better pics will be taken.
     I have several guitars like this that are waiting for my attention. Since my OO-40R is playing great now, after working on it most of the day. Now I can work on some others, maybe this one will be first :blush:

   Five years ago with many pictures I did a thread on this one.But all but one of the pics was deleted by web shots. I replaced the bridge, made repairs on the neck, body and frets. Then strung it up and played it. After that the forum IV came in and other things gained my attention so it was cased up.
    Eventually it will play again. I'll put up the link to the old thread here.
The size is like a small deep body Gibson.


That is an odd combination of woods (koa top, maple b & s). Look forward to more pics and progress reports.

The binding looks like maple as well.  A Koa top is an interesting choice.
