New Gibson LG2 came with 80/20 lights.
I tried a few others, weights and compositions,
and came back to the 80/20 lights.
ernie ball earthwoods
Pretty cheap and replacing them with new ones, fairly often,
is a guilty pleasure...

I don't know why, but reading this thread made me wonder about something:

Are piano strings 80/20, phosphor bronze, or something else? Does anyone here know? How do you find out?

I think they are carbon steel with wound cooper around that for the bass strings
