Hi 247hoopsfan,
Thanks for putting this up so we could hear your Goodall.
Do you have the same kind of strings on the Goodall as you do on the Larrivée D10 Brazilian?
No, I have Phosphor Bronze EXP17's on the D10, and medium Phosphor Bronze Elixirs on the Goodall. Maybe they really are the same, since most think that Daddario makes the strings for Elixir.

It has taken me a while to come over to the Elixir camp, but I am starting to like them. I put a set on my JCL and just changed them out recently after over a year. And I play the snot out of the JCL every day. I was amazed that the new strings sounded virtually the same as the old ones. There is no question that the Elixirs keep their tone longer than the EXP's. And after playing the Elixirs, I realize how squeaky the EXP's sound.
I love the Goodall. She is a big girl, and sounds like a 12 string when strummed, but handles delicate finger style as well. The JCL sounds very similar to the Goodall, but not as loud, and the Goodall definitely has more clarity and sustain. The D10 Brazilian has that hard to describe glassy/reverb tone of aged brazilian It's like splitting hairs to pick a favorite, but personally I would give a slight edge to the Goodall because of the crystal clear tone and sustain.
