What's out there in the land of dreadnoughts with 1 3/4" nuts and wider? I'm sticking with Martin, Larrivee, SCGC, and the like. I know Taylors are generally 1 3/4. Thanks!

Hi Charlie. JCL makes a Slope shoulder Dread (SD) that sports a wide neck. It's not the big deep box that the standard dread is though. Mine measures 15 1/4" and 4 7/8" deep. It is more comfortable than the standard. I haven't compared it to a D, but a couple days ago I stopped at a friends place to visit. I had the SD with me and he played it a while. He then piayed his prised Guild dread and was disappointed at what he heard. We both agreed there was no comparison. I felt really bad about that and apologized to him  whistling  He is now making plans to sell the Guild and buy a Larrivee. That reminds me, I need to go through the sale section here to see what's available.
