That thing speaks... it has an amazing voice. Very nice playing too.

What kind of pickup(s) did you use? Just a microphone or...?

Bas,

There are no pickups in the D10.  I recorded straight into a Snowball microphone, which is plugged into my Macbook Air.  The Snowball is $49 microphone. This is really "bare bones" recording in my living room, but that little mic does a pretty good job.  No effects.

Nicely done.  That does sound great.  I've read many good reviews of that mic but never heard anything other than voice podcasts.  It's very clear.

Thanks for the info!

I have also read some good reviews about the Snowball but I never expected it to sound that good. GarageBand is a great tool for recording music without too much required know-how— at least to me. I'm trying to get started with recording but I'm not sure if my playing is up to it yet. Attempting to do so is lots of fun anyhow.
