Hi folks,
So, in the past few months I've been looking for a tenor guitar. I wanted to try the tenor without sinking too much money in to it. There are some beautiful high end new guitars out there, and of course lots of vintage instruments, but I couldn't spend the money not knowing if I'd like it!

I found a used Blueridge BR40T over at Antebellum Instruments, and I am very happy.

This instrument has a solid spruce top and laminated hog sides.

I am pleased.
I have it tuned GDAE and it is very resonant and rich.
Probably my only complaint is that the neck is a pretty deep U shape and so a Shubb c5 capo is a tight fit. If I get it much past the third or fourth fret it throws the guitar way out of tune, likely because I can't back off the screw far enough.

but, other than that, I am having a bunch of fun with this!
I'll likely perform for the first time with it in a week or so.

Became a Shooting Star when I got my 1st guitar.
Back in '66, I was 13 and that was my fix.
Still shooting for stardom after all this time.
If I never make it, I'll still be fine.
