So today I took ownership of a new to me RS-4 in beautiful Cherryburst! This one has the Lollar Imperial PUPS.

First reaction is why did it take so long for me to get one of these?! First glance is breathtaking, gorgeous flamed top, burst is to perfection, and fit and finish are top notch as expected with all Larrivee guitars. The neck is fast and a good shape for my hand. The action is low and fast but with no buzzing through the entire neck. The previous owner took good care of it!

I haven't played it enough to give an adequate review but again, first impressions are awesome! This thing has the bite that I've been missing from my single coils on the strat. I've been able to dial in a good variety of tones with the switch and tone knobs. I'm looking forward to playing it more in the upcoming days and getting more of a feel for it.

Glad to be a member of the Larrivee Electric club!

Welcome to this elite group of owners. The RS-4 is the BMW to the Ford/Les Paul of the guitar world.

Nice guitar Brandon.  The RS-4 seems to be the most well-received electric in Larrivee's lineup.

For darn good reason. Best solid body electric guitar I've ever played. OTOH, I'd love to try a Bakersfield or a Lancaster but I've never seen one except in pictures. Do they really exist?

I can see why. I noodled around on it for another hour or so today and love it. The RS-4 definitely has the wow factor aesthetically and sonically.
