K&K install

I have had my PV-03 for some time now and I bought a K&K when I picked it up.  I've never gotten to installing the pickup...  until today.  It has been some time since I put one in, or done any significant work on an acoustic.  I can't believe how anxious it made me.  The new instructions say to do one element at a time and the last half dozen I've done were with the all at once method.  I made a 'jig' for one at a time.  I did dry runs with both jigs.  Finally, I said this is goofy and just put them on the old jig, applied some glue and stuck the little things on.  After the fact it looks perfect, and on top of that, it sounds like it should.

Critical thinking and common sense is alive and well.  Congrats on your successful installation.

Used my own jig/pattern about 8 years ago installing my mini PW on my L-03 with an 'all at once' method.  No issues on the install.  At the time, K+K was recommending hand install of individual elements and there were some instructions on-line of how to do it with a jig - I followed those and I thought K+K pretty much adopted them as their own a few years later.

Pretty much.  I like putty better than tape, and I use a step drill (on any guitars that aren't already drilled out for an endpin jack).
