What's the diff in neck joint that would make it feel slinkier? I do notice a diff between #6 and my D-03, but thought it was just lower action...

I thought same scale pretty much equals same tension...

Maybe because your picking hand ends up closer to the 12th fret, since the bridge is lower on the body.

Maybe it's because the strings are straight, or because the strings are round, or because the 12th fret is between the nut and saddle, or because............the soundhole is round, or because.........................the bridge is glued on, or because..................................

I think Rob said it best - "it's magic".

Don't care why - it's really cool, and that's enough for me. Less tension may help me find those elusive strings as I try to pick out tunes. Or not...

I had noticed the same thing with my Pete Anderson model. I assume that it is the position of the picking hand relative to the saddle position. If I move my hand from just below the bottom of the neck, towards the bridge, it seems as though there is more string tension. Conversely, if I move my picking hand from the bottom edge of the neck/fretboard actually up the fretboard ( ala Johnny Cash strumming style) there appears to be less tension on the strings.  That is my best guess.

I agree with that, but it doesn't really account for the difference I feel with my left hand all the way back up near the nut, which is what I really care about in terms of easier action... hmmm...

Back to the original subject, glad you got another one you really like, Rob. Nice to see that the pushers of GAS get it too.  ;)

How does your pastor friend like his?

Paster Jesse had to pass on it after all.I couldn't reviel anything at the time I didn't want to blow the surprise for Zach,so Jason turned it.It seems that The Devil, namely me showed him an OMV03Koa and well money needed to be diverted or was it his soul. And god Yess I get GAS.Have it rite now as a matter of fact.So once again I beg and ask for donation towards a 49 Gibson ES300 sunburst 2 P90's its so sweet that I can't bring myself to change strings or set it up or my home shop and studio will be gone for another year.

I think we get GAS worse than anyone!  My only saving grace is I stayed home from NAMM or I am sure I would have really lost it!  J
