Live and in person tonight in our living/dining room with master mandolinist Damon Dowbak! When my musical partner and I were pursuing our musical dreams back in the 70's, Fraser and Debolt were one of our biggest inspirations seeing as we were a duo/couple, as well. Great songwriter and I'm so pumped to have him. Daisy has passed on, bless her soul.

What better way to spend a Saturday night?  Enjoy.

Became a Shooting Star when I got my 1st guitar.
Back in '66, I was 13 and that was my fix.
Still shooting for stardom after all this time.
If I never make it, I'll still be fine.

Great house concert! Everyone, about 35 of us, had a great time. Allan did one set by himself and then he was joined by the mando magician Damon Dowbak (who is one of Canada's best kept secrets) for a knock out second set. Allan played mostly new songs with only four from the Fraser and Debolt days but those four including Then Dance Hall Girls were pretty terrific and very well received. My little Fender PA was well up to the task and the sound in the room was very good. Allan is fine fellow and a real gentleman. It was a thrill to have him play in our living room.
Now we start packing the place up for our big move. Adios amigos.

Well, to keep in the '70s mood: far out, man!

Yes, it was. How did we all get so old, by the way?
