Why the difference? L vs. OM body

I played an OM-05 that sounded really nice and different from my LV-03e.  Clearly it's the body shape that makes this OM more articulate and balanced IMO. However, the difference between the LV-09 and theOM-09 was much smaller (for me). Thoughts in this?

Strings - all new and same model/configuration?  If not, then that's a major possibility for tonal differences

The wood samples of the mahogany guitars may have been more different in their qualities
than the rosewood guitars, from what you had to compare that day.

Good points. I really liked the 05, and I came in looking for an 03R....

I think it's important to remember that each guitar is going to be different. You could probably play two or three OM-05's back to back to back and get a different feel and sound from each.

Buy the guitar that speaks to you the most. Sounds like the 05 spoke to you.
