I say a little pryer for you. Thanks to Mr. David for such a rich career and delivering so many lovely lyrics to the world of music. He and Bacharach remain one of the greatest songwriting teams of all time. Their partnership with Miss Warwick, was a perfect storm of synergy. Alfie is one of my favorite lyrics. Elegantly simple and to the point, beautifully framed in Bacharach's exquisite arrangement and Warwick's delivery. Something even non believers can believe in, indeed. RIP.
