Now that Larrivee is building the Lancaster and making Strat style pickups, how about a Bakersfield pickguard with a strat-style pickup in it?

I really like the tones I get from my el-cheapo SX guitar with a Strat pup (DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Blues) in the neck ... kinda looks like Clarence White's old Tele that Marty Stuart now has...

That would be pretty sweet.  I do wonder, however, since the Bakersfield release coincided (I believe) with the SD 35th anniversary release, if Larrivee and SD didn't come to an agreement about the SD pickups being standard in the Bakersfield.  I may be way off here though.  Obviously a la carte Larrivee pickups are a possibility anyway.
