Just saw a Larrivee A-33 for sale over at the mandolin cafe, no affiliation. Just thought someone might be interested.

Yea, I saw that........just don't have that much lying around. I guess that's a reasonable price.........I sure like the sound/ playability of my friend Andy's one, though it's a F-33.
What do you guys think..........is that reasonable $$$$?

That's a smokin' price! Seriously. I almost bought it just because of the great price when I first saw it a couple days ago.

If I didn't have a new custom build coming at the end of March I woulda snapped this one right up.

These Larrivee' mandolins are some of the highest quality sleepers out there.

They don't have a great reputation in the general mandolin community because they aren't bluegrass cannons.

Of the 6, or 7 I've played they have a sweet, bell-like ringing tone. Bluegrass mandos are usually very dry sounding with very little sustain.

The Larrivee' would be great for swing, old time, or even jazz.

Yea, Mandolin Cafe was saying it's a good price too.......2 days left and no bids ( though a lot of people wait till the last minute ).
I offered to trade him my Larivee D-05 and some cash. We'll see...........
