It sounds and feels just wonderful to my big hands.  Here is Chris Kenney's latest blog summary on it.  Thanks to all who followed this build and for all the thoughtful comments along the way!

:nice guitar:, really, really  :nice guitar:.  Two  years is a long time.  It was good that you had excellent communication and photos along the way.  Visually, it turned out great!  How do you like the sound port?

Congrates!

Just played it and passed it around at our weekly outdoor's jam around a campfire.  Sound port was sorta new to some folks; they thought at first it was to hold a spit cup!

It sounds great to my ears - still a bit tight with the Italian Spruce but lots of promise.  Sustain is very good and it has symmetrical X bracing like Larrivees, so the tone is balanced.  I think the thing I like best is the wide and deep neck; it really fills my big hand and I don't "arch" my palm when fretting barre chords.  Probably feels like a 2 X 4 to most folks, but I figure it's the first time I know what a normal neck feels like to normal mitts!

I've never attempted sound clips, so maybe I can lean on some of you for tips.  Best I've got is a Tascam recorder which creates HUGE files, and a Snowball USB mike....

Having fun with it and going to the McJam tomorrow for more!

Beautiful guitar. I saw it up close and in person over the weekend.
And Ross is the nicest guy you could ever want to meet. It was a pleasure to spend time, share a meal and some music with him and his wife, Mikki.

I wish we could assemble more than annually, Mark - who else can I count on to put 'rabbit-ears' behind my head in group photos?

Oh man. That is ancient history, Ross.  You got to bring that up?
Way back in... 2012, wasn't it?
I'm way too dignified for hi-jinx like that these days.
I'm older now. I use sun screen, and dress in layers.

It will be entertaining to see what observations will be made here regarding your dignity, Mark!    :humou :nana_guitar :nanadance

Are you kidding?  I'll post it on Facebook and see if she checks in!  Perhaps I won't live long enough to make the next group photo..... :whistling:
