60th is quite a milestone. From my perspective it seems like it would be the best all-around age ( if there is such a thing).

Have a great day Tom

Happiest of Birthdays on this beautiful day.  I haven't posted anything on this forum in a long time, but this is a special occasion for you and I want to recognize it.  If I had a solid mahogany, which I don't, I would definitely give it to you. And, if they had a birthday cake, I would send it to you, but since they only have beer and donuts, here's to you and 60 more years of good health.

Happy birthday, and I will be 60 May 8, and I have a solid mahogany guitar coming to celebrate the occasion.
Thanks, Dave

Thanks guys, very much appreciated but no guitar yet. :-)

60 is a tough birthday for me and my wife put it all in perspective for me one day last week. She said, "at least you are having a birthday to celebrate".  You see, I am a cancer survivor, colorectal cancer to be precise. It has been 6 years and still counting, so even though I am getting older, I have to appreciate that fact that I may not have had the opportunity to do that if I hadn't have acted quickly. So just a reminder, if you are over 50, please ask your Doctor for a Colonoscopy, it could save your life!!
I am sure there are many on this site that have life experiences to share but we all have one thing in common and that is guitars. It matters not what level of playing we are at, it is about the guitar.

Have a great day everybody!!!

Cheers,
Tom

Tom - Happy Birthday!  And thanks for sharing your story. Sometimes we get lost with the "important" things in life.

You're correct about the guitar - it's all about enjoying playing the guitar, regardless of what we play or our skill.

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Tom!  I am glad you are doing well.

I am looking at--and soon will be playing--my beautful Larrivee OM-05 All-Mahogany.

Here's a pic of it.  Think of it as a birthday card

Tom

Two and a half years to go until the big 6 0 but I do already have an all mahogany Larrivee.

Not willing to give it up as a birthday present but  here's a tune being played on it by my son for you instead..

Scheduled for that test you mention in a couple of weeks!!

Happy Birthday.
