This is a big shout out to Larrivee for their great customer service, even in the little, insignificant things.   +1

I had mentioned on here a while back that I wanted to change out my RS-2's P-90 covers to black so that they would match the volume & tone knobs and switch tip (always thought it was kinda strange that those were black and the pup covers were cream...the new "Ventura's" are all black).

I got an e-mail from someone at Larrivee customer service (you know who you are, MK!), saying that if I would e-mail him my address, he'd send me a set of covers....for free. They came this week (about 7 days after I e-mailed him back), and I've gotta say, now this guitar just looks right! (He also gave me prices on some Larrivee humbuckers and P-90's for some of my other guitars (he had noticed I was working on a Warmoth project that needs 3 P-90s!). Thanks, Mike!!!

I'll let you compare and be the judge:

First pick is original, second is my mod of knobs and switch, third is the "blackout" mod:

Luv the Customer Service

I always preferred your Mod over the original. The Blackout is just as nice as your Mod only different, both are very very nice, really changes the look of the guitar.

Mike and Mathhew have provided me with excellent status reports of my "in-progress" Bakersfield...just waiting for one more critical message...."It's shipped!"   bigrin

There you go!

The RS-2 ... for the moment ... has become my #1/#2 electric (along with my favorite Warmoth Strat). We'll see what happens when the Bakersfield gets here... But the P-90's are such versatile pickups; they have a clarity and spank and punch that works for lots of different music. I also love my RS-4, but if it came down to it and I had to pick one, I'd probably keep the RS-2.

And I've been thinking about adding a Bigsby to my RS-2 ... the one you can attach with the adapter so you don't have to do any mods to the body... (B-5 + adapter).

I am thinking about doing the same to my RS4.  My only concern is will it still fit in the case.
I was looking at my LP, and I noticed that there seems to be space in the case for a Bigsby, so maybe Gibson has one case size for with/without Bigsby.  So, maybe the Bigsby will go on the LP.

I installed a Bigsby B7 on my Les Paul Deluxe with the Vibramate adapter and with the tremelo arm folded to the rear it fits in the original case just fine.
