Since we're having so much fun talking about albums (sorry you 20-somethings...), I was going through my stack and found (among others):
Little Willy by the Sweet
Snoopy & the Red Baron by the Royal Guardsman
Blinded by the Light by Manfred Mann
Play that Funky Music by Wild Cherry
Dancing Queen by Abba
The Streak by Ray Stevens
American Pie by Don McLean
Free Electric Band by Albert Hammond

Feeling nostalgic,
Deb

Just had a friend give me a mint copy of "Aunt Martha's Sheep" by Dick Nolan (Newfoundland icon!)

Although I still have hundreds of albums (my son once called them those round black things in the boxes) I have only one 45 left. Hit the Road Jack, by Ray Charles. Have to find that little plastic insert to make the spindle fit though!

Deb,
That looks like the stack my brother and I had as we saved our pennies to go get those "Cool" tunes we heard on the AM!  I think they have all gone the
Lonesome Highway route.  I do remember Midnight Train to Georgia (Gladys & the Pips), Sundown (G. Lightfoot), Smokin' In the Boy's Room (Brownsville Station)...hmm, now if you want me to get out my
8 tracks!!

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
Rocketman - Elton John
Fireball - Deep Purple

These are the only ones that made the trip when I emigrated. The rest are probably in a box in my parents attic, on the South Coast of England!!! :o

First 45 bought was "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas. Believe next one was "The NightChicago Died" by Paperlace. Have a few others tending to get ones by 70's one hit wonders. Patrick
