Southern Guitars bought the Butterscotch from NAMM. Posted pics in the "On facebook" thread. Will these pictures do?

Have you ordered one yet? That's one way to find out! Surely they are in production.

So they're taking orders for rosewood boards now ? Interesting ....  :cop:

We ordered a few here at the shop at NAMM and I just got the first one in so I guess about 4 weeks time is the estimated wait. These are killer guitars!! I love the pickups and feel of the Bakersfield. The tummy and forearm cut are perfect as well as the hardware, finish, etc. Just an overall great guitar!! Larrivee did a great job with these!! I would expect to be seeing them in stores more and more in the next couple of weeks! These put the Fender Teles to shame.......and I'm a Fender dealer too so I'm not biased!!! I had the prototype from the NAMM show here for a bit as well....everyone that has played this one so far has fallen in love with it!!!

Since SouthernGuitar is a Larrivee dealer, posting pictures of their inventory probably violates the no commercialism policy of this forum.

But....I'll bet I can tell folks that SouthernGuitar now has a photo on their site of the Tobaccoburst Bakersfield they now have in stock (I've got no affiliation with them).....

When I get mine ... and I will ... it'll be the Tobacco Burst, for sure. Guess I completely glossed over that they're Seymour Duncan pickups. Not Matthew Larrivee pickups. I've tried searching on the SD site for "real broadcaster" but it keeps asking for a  password. Hmmm ... super double secret?  :whistling:

The bridge pickup is not a regular item and is made in the custom shop. It's not listed on the website. They simply refer to it as "the real broadcaster" and is a very accurate representation of a broadcaster pickup. I own a 1950 broadcaster pickup which is amazing and the duncan is very very close. I also own a 1952 tele pickup and to be honest its horrible - Not what I thought it was going to be at all. I also thought it was fitting due to the work we did with duncan.

Matt, good to know. And if you're good with it .... heck, guess we should be, too.  Just after the RS's I thought you were doing all the pickup designs and windings for the electrics. Looking forward to getting hands on one. Might be tough though, since we don't have any Larrivee electric dealers in the KCMO area, that I know of.
