I use the Ibeam in 2 of my guitars and its the only pickup I can stand.I have tried them all via the fact that I'm a tech.My preffence is for mic's but I just can't find people to play with.I should say one of my duo partners does but he's been moving more towards original music based on his belief's.This doesn't bother me but it does limit the amount of work we can get.

I've tried a whole bunch of pickups, and had the Ibeam in a few guitars.  It was tolerable, but not great.  The element UST in my D-03SO sounds even better though, when it's played through a Fishman Aura Sixteen pedal.  I needed to experiment with a number of images from the Fishman gallery and a bit of EQ to make it sound its best.  I'm sold.
