Hey guys.
Found this guitar.  No model number anywhere.
Serial is 38768.
Here's a pic.
My guess is that it is an L-02 from the 90's.

What do you think?
What's it worth?!
Thanks
Thom

Judging by the shape (a little difficult at that angle) and the black binding, I'd agree it's an L-02.

Cool.  Thanks.
What's your best value guess, assuming it's in good shape?

A "L-02e" . Look inside on the neck block and see if a set of numbers is stamped in the wood. Either way it looks good in this one pic.

Depends on the case you get with it, but 600-800. Give or take by condition.

Yes.  It does have electronics.
Most importantly, we're all in agreement this is an 02, not 03 (or 01 for that matter)?

I think the early L-03 with black binding were in the 'special' serial number block.

This appears to be a regular serial number. So probably an -02.

There were -04's with gloss top only, and some -04's that were all gloss.

Hey guys.
Found this guitar.  No model number anywhere.
Serial is 38768.

Have you tried E-Mail Larrivee Support Here who may be able to tell you a Mfg Date and possibly the model #   It's possible that the serial # fell in that gap where the record keeping at Larrivee was put on the very very back burner. I'd giver a shot tho and follow the instructions to the letter in the link I provided you

I however am about 95% she's an L 02 Pics can be trickey tho

It looks just like my D-02, except of course that it's an L body, therefore, I would say it is likely to be an 02. Interesting that on 02's , Larrivee decided to not include the model designation on the label. I was able to get the vital statistics on my 1999 D-02 from Larrivee as the previous Joyce suggested. It's also curious that Larrivee 02's are not listed on the Larrivee web page as if they are not made anymore .  In spite of this, I occasionally see an online retailer selling a new one ( guitar adoptions has on listed, I believe).  Anybody know why that is?

Not long ago Larrivee made another run of -02's. Then switched to sapele for the -03's and dropped the -02 designation again. or something like that.

I think the new 02's are sapele with the three piece necks and rosewood headstock overlay...don't know if that means all 03's are now mahogany, or if only 03's marked 'MH' are hog b&s, while the others are sapele.

03's are sapella with the standard neck build the 02's are also sapella but with the 3 piece neck and the workman ship and appearance is done well it doesn't look cheesey.
