Can someone tell me if turning the screws in a clockwise motion on the pickup and/or pole screws raises or lowers the height on an RS2. I have seen both on you tube.

Counter clockwise will raise both the pickup and the the screw's.Only raise the screws if a string is not even sounding with the rest other then that you shouldn't need to.Also if the pickup gets too close to the strings the magnetic pull can pull the strings out of tune and in some case's cause the pu to be muddy sounding.

I dont find the magnetic pull issue to be a factor with humbuckers - The gauss strength of the pole pieces is far less than magnets of a fender pickup. If you're at a point that the string is pulling down, you've got the pickup/poles to close. The Gauss strength at the poles is around 600, but on a fender pickup it can be near 1200 - so the pull is near double.
