I've got another RS-4 incoming (don't hate me, guys).  My first one has so completely sold me on these that I had to have another as a backup.  A gold top came up on ebay for a very reasonable price and now it's on its way.

My question is - which generation of pickups do I have?  On the back of the neck pickup it has printed "Larrivée Standard Neck Pickup" and then it has what looks like Matt's sig with the date 1-23-09 written in Sharpie.

Thanks for your help.

Ps. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Wow sounds like a nice guitar. Goldtops look classic and classy all at once. You got the definitive answer on your pups too!!   Enjoy.

Well, heck on another thread some insist that there is no difference, other cosmetic, between gloss and satin models so what could a few windings of copper, one way or the other matter?

Matthew, if your guitars sound even better  with the new pups, I can't wait to get my hands on one in order to be convinced. Maybe in a Goldtop?!?! Well done Wilblee! drool

Thank you, Matt, for the fast answer.  I'll be interested to compare the G2's to the G3's in my current RS-4.

BTW, do you sell the pickups alone?  I would love to try a set of these in my ES-335.

I've also asked that question here - hasn't been answered...I'd also LOVE to have 3 Larrivee P-90's for a Warmoth project I'm working on!
