Still writing. Written a couple days ago and recorded today. Funny thing, I guess. I had my electric stolen a couple months ago. Long story but I managed to get it back yesterday after playing detective. Just in time to record this, which needed that fat, full gibson sound.

Yes I was pleased about getting guitar back. Might not be everyones dream guitar, but it's the one for me. I put Gibson 57 classic and 57+  pickups in this epiphone Sheriton and for me it's rightous. I keep thick strings on it and being a primarily acoustic player, it feels like a real guitar to me. Meaty in both the feel of the neck and in tone. The tone on the song was from neck pick-up alone. It will bite when you get bridge pick-up in the mix.
I thought I might be unwise in my patience about getting guitar back but it worked out. Teenagers, and I gave the parents a chance to come up with it before calling police. They had already paid me for it, then came up with guitar itself and I returned money. I'm ok with that cause the parents are good folks and kids, and parents, already paying price for other stuff they got busted with.
