Guitar Player Magazine

[DJ in FL]

I got some super deal certificate in the mail for a subscription for this magazine...GUITAR PLAYER.

I looked at it on internet, but can't tell much about content.

Anybody out there have any comments, pro or con?  Is it at one level (i.e. beginner or professional); is it more electric, or acoustic?

Back in the 70's it was a good blend of all styles but I haven't read it lately because it is primarily geared to electric (or it was the last time I looked) and I am strictly acoustic. I subscribe to Acoustic Guitar which receives mixed reviews here (Biggest complaint is that it is biased toward the products offered by the advertisers).

I like the Fretboard Journal and read it from cover to cover. Great articles and well written and photographed from my perspesctive.
