Howard Emerson taught me this song by video tape. It is called "Dust Mop" from his "Crossing Crystal Lake" CD.

I really struggled learning this song. The right hand technique Howard uses was opposite of everything I knew when starting this tune. With tons of practice and great advice/visuals from Howard on personal tapes, I was able to get the song down.

Howard is an excellent Teacher as well as Player and Writer. I'm afraid I do neither him or his song justice though.

Contrary to Scott's statements, he did a great job.

Nice work, Scott.

Scott.

You do it well. A bit of that 'ragtime-ish" sound gives a tune a fun feeling.

Thanks fellas!

I worked very hard on that one. Still have a few glitches, but I'm getting closer.

Tom - You are too kind!

Thanks again,

Scott

There must something in the water down there, Scott! Your fingerpicking is precise, your dynamics are heartfelt and your recorded tone is always so warm and clear.

You got me trying to be a better with my finger-sausages and tinderbox geetar. Someday I'm gonna have to get me one fo those sweet cedar-topped Breedloves!

Keep 'em coming!  :)
