1 7/8 Nut Good Or Bad

I'm having a 12 fret OM built and thinking about a 1 7/8 nut width. I hope it helps my left hand be a little cleaner making chords. Anybody have ideas which will help with this?

Find one and try it first.

Agree with Don. I like it but it's not everyone's cup o' tea.

My J05 is a 1 13/16.I'm not sure what my others are but you get accustom to it.....

Good advice so far - better to try one out first before you take the plunge.
Now, many 'Classical' guitars use an even wider neck -  2" - to give you some indication.
If you do mostly fingerstyle, the extra room may be just the thing.
