What little I play is right-handed. I'm hoping to get it back into playable condition in order to sell it for him.

You might want to rethink that Friend. From what I have seen this guitars go for in the last few years it will be difficult to get your $ back

I'm wondering why one of the moderators hasn't moved this discussion to the electric forum yet? Other threads get moved all the time...

I agree with JOYCEfromNS's assessment on this - you'll probably come out ahead if you sell this as is - with whatever original parts (and case if you have it). You could easily put $4-500 into it and only get $350-450 for it in this economy. I think you might be able to get at least $350 for it as is...

It's not a model I'm really interested in (and I play lefty), but there are a number of lefty players here who might save you all that work and expense ... then, of course, there is a much larger market potential on e-bay...

... one more observation ... looks like it had a locking nut at one time...and it has extra holes on the back too (where the original strap button was). It will take a LOT of work to get this back up to original condition...

I support Mike's numbers. Can't think of a better Lefty who would give this the luv it needs

I'm not in the market for it ... pointy guitars aren't my thing (beyond maybe an SG!). I'm just trying to save him some frustration, time and money. Someone around here would probably be interested, though.

P.S. Hope the original poster of the lefty Larrivee can find this thread (now that I requested it be moved here!)

These pointy guitars are pretty darn good very undervalued in the marketplace tho for I suspect mainly  the reason you indicate. Wish i waz a lefty

Thanks, I've got some of those style of knobs, though now that I look at it, it only has a Volume, no Tone.
