Oh I like it! Another song that we both play. I'm interested in your lyrics. You have a verse I can steal.

Thanks, Blue!

Hey Duck, could you send me your lyrics? then we can call Trading   instead of Stealing.  I'd love to hear your version!

Unlike the Hot Tuna version, I fingerpick it. Like the Hot Tuna version, however, I've only ever had two verses. Your "standing on the track" verse works well. I've made up a couple along the way. Hey it's a blues song, you can always insert the "if the river was whisky and I was a diving duck" verse.

Not sure what version you are referring to, but the version I do is by Hot Tuna, and it is definitely fingerpicked    From the first (untitled) Album: Hot Tuna

Yeah I guess but he strums much of it with his thumbpick. I fingerpick it ... purely.

Well, you had me wondering. I play OK, I guess,  but I doubt I've ever fingerpicked anything "Purely".  The phrase Immaculate Perception comes to mind (don't know why)  bigrin

Duck, my man, I think you confusing the occasional brush-stroke with strumming.  It is definitely finger picked. And pretty purely, I'd say.

what you're might  be thinking is strumming is Jorma doing brush strokes or grabbing two or three strings at once.  With his fingers.  +1

All kidding aside, that's one of my favourite albums, like, ever. I'll try to record an MP3 and email it to you next week.
