Nice guitar and nice shots.    Don't worry, very few of us can match Matt in the photography department.     Your pictures are nothing to be ashamed of.   Good job.

Mmmmm ... er ... eh ... stop tempting me damn it!  :laughin:

Thanks for the back shot! :thumb

Man that is so classic and elegant looking to be a solid color
with no eye candy top like on the RS-4's!It's got that "OLD
SCHOOL VIBE" for sure! How does them "LARRY HUMBUCKY"S
sound  resonating through that slab of mahogany? :whistling:

Vey nice! These pics clinch the deal for me ... I'm still in (and we're getting so close on these...)!

:nice guitar:

P.S. From the looks of that back shot - the whole body is gloss, but it looks like the neck is satin, like the acoustics? (On the RS-4, it's gloss.)

ALRIGHT GUYS! PULL YOUR CHEAP SUNGLASSES OUT! :bgrin:

Matthew sent these just minutes ago!
The lighting was not good and makes the AMBER look a litte reddish! But Matthew
assured me that it was AMBER! The other earlier pics that he sent of the top caught
the lighting good and the AMBER is going to be "SWEET"!!

REV I am sure that yours must be finished to so check in with Matthew! :cheers

MAHOGANY AND LARRIVEE P-90's! Can't wait to plug into her! :nana_guitar

OKAY! Just for good measures I am sending 2 more! Pay attention
to the last one (Look who's standing together holding my RS-2)!

I was tickled bigtime to get a picture of "JEAN & MATTHEW" together
holding my RS-2! :nice guitar:

Mac,

I got some similar pics about the same time you did! Been too busy to post until just now.

And...these pics came just in time. I had e-mailed Jerry this morning and asked for my deposit back.  Had to e-mail him back after I saw these pics (which I also forwarded to him) and apologize for the inconvenience, because I AM going to get this guitar! Looks amazing! And it's sweet to have a pic of Jean and Matthew holding MY guitar!!!

:nice guitar:

Rev,

Man Ole Matthew and Jean came through with flying colors for us on
these "KILLER MAHOGANY SLABS" with them SWEET CREME P-90's!!

That is pretty "SWEET" that Matthew sent the our pics today to
both of us!

I bet you did E-Mail Jerry Welch back and said "UH! Jerry On Second
Thought I Want That Cherry RS-2"!!Ha! :nice guitar:

Well if anybody is strattlng the fence on getting one of the RS-2's
due to wondering what it will look like, just take a LOOK at these
2 "FINE SPECIMENS"!! :nanadance :nana_guitar

Yeah, I did a 180 pretty quick!  :roll

Check out the pics of Jean and Matthew holding the guitars again - on the rack behind them are a couple interesting guitars. The one right behind the headstock in each pic is almost like the old yellow Gibson Juniors and specials...an RS-2 with that finish maybe?

And on the bottom rack below it is a guitar with all the tuners on one side of the headstock. I doubt that's a prototype of anything - probably just a Strat or something someone left lying around...

Also, note the RS-4 right to the left of Jean's head in the photo - another lefty!

 THE RS 2 GUTS

Interesting there's shielding paint on inside of cover plates, my guess they're from the RS4 pile. Looks like Russian PIO caps   :?  with CTS pots , neat wiring.

PIO caps at this price point is really a bonus

Unlike the RS4 cavity is not shielded

No Schaller strap locks  but not for long!!!!!

Quality work/insides no doubt about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for those pics.

At this price point I don't care about strap locks; I'd much rather have the better capacitors!

Gibson doesn't even use straplocks on it's $3,000 guitars (except for a few select models).

Hi JOYCEfromNS,

Although I've got too many electric guitars that I really like to sell one to get an RS4 or RS2, just seeing how revved up you are about yours has got me playing more electric guitar lately. That was a really long way of saying,

"Thanks for sharing the excitement".

What tuning machines are those?

According to the info on the Guitar Adoptions website, they're "Kluson tulip style tuners."
