Last weekend I had the pleasure to see Tommy Emmanuel for the first time, and honestly I'm still floored by the performance. He's truly a legend. It's just hard to imagine a sound he couldn't make on that small bodied Maton. Without a doubt one of the best shows I've been to in awhile. Can't wait to catch him again sometime......anybody else have experience at one of his shows?????

Yes - I felt like that after the first time I saw him. Great player and showman and had a smile on my face all the time

Didn't quite have the same effect the second time because I knew what to expect and the venue was not as good but still great.

Hey There SouthPaw

You may enjoy this interview we had with him last summer...he gave us an hour of great stories and some beautiful guitar work!

Thanks for the link Scott, just finished listening. I really can't get over just how down to earth and relaxed Tommy is as a performer / entertainer....just awesome. At the show I picked his album "Endless Road" and after hearing the title track play entirely though.....well I had to listen to it again and a few times after that. words, they fall short....you know what I mean....

I do indeed...just ran into him again at the grocery store a few weeks back and he couldn't have been any nicer to my family! Laid back and down to earth are great descriptions. That said, he sure beats the hell out of his Maton's, doesn't he! After watching him pound on those guitars, I was afraid for my D-10!

Here's a fun video for ya
