Hi Ben,

This is great!  Thanks for taking the idea and bringing it to life.  I hope it becomes a way for forum members to get to know each other and encourage one another!

:thumbsup

I just visited the Larrivee Forum YouTube channel.  It is great!  It's as if the Larrivee Forum has sprung to life in vivid color!

Wow...  after a little time spent on youtube...  what an array of talent.  What a great bunch of people to be able to (cyber)brush up against.

Ed

Ben,

What a joy! It's great to hear everyone play and to see all of these beautiful guitars.

When you get the chance, could you swap out my two vids for the following two?

"Colorado Girl" by Townes Van Zandt
This is a decent recording of my finger-picked D-60 SBT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7Vq_pngnpM

"Coalminers" Traditional
This is my D-05 in a live situation with my former band.

Thank again for keeping this all up tp date!

Done Rob, I wasn't previously aware of your videos, so just picked two at random.  Appreciate the guidance on your preference.

I hope that the point is that a couple of tracks from each artist will lead viewers to click on the channel of their favourites and listen to more.  I would add them all, but the likes of Denis, George, Will Fly (and me I guess) have many videos featuring Larrivees, and it would make it somewhat unfair for others.

I am going to remove a few more videos so that there are only 2 from each artist.  The list is getting a little long now, and it seems fair.

Please let me know if you don't agree with this approach.

What a great idea! Thanks Strings4Him and all you others for making this happen. And especially Ben :thumb

It is  great fun to see all you Forum-ites perform.

I have one suggestion (if it isn't too late) Can the titles include the Larrivee model name?
Chris
Larrivee's '07  L-09 (40th Commemorative); '09 00-03 S.E; '08 P-09
Eastman '07 AC 650-12 Jumbo (NAMM)
Martin   '11 D Mahogany (FSC Golden Era type)
Voyage-Air '10 VAOM-06
-the nylon string-
Goya (Levin) '58 G-30
-dulcimer-
'11 McSpadden

Good suggestion cke, but as it is effectively a playlist, everyone would have to amend their own videos. Many people already do so.

Thanks for taking a look.

I appreciate it Ben! Two vids from each artist sounds fair to me. That should be a good enough indication of what each of our styles are.

Back to watching more videos!

p.s. You guys rock...I've got a lot of practicing to do!

Just put this up last night, partly prompted by your initiative to pull things together

Maybe you could add it to the channel

Now that this has been set up, I have changed the settings to show the most recently added video to be the featured one when you go to the home page.  No offence meant to Denis for taking Samuel off that position.

It seemed logical to put it there whilst the playlist was changing every 5 minutes, since it is an established forum favourite. (and we can all rest easy watching it and seeing that even Denis plays bum notes sometimes :humour:)

I guess it's time for me to make some new videos...and yeah, I play bum notes all the time.  Cheers for putting me up there in the first place Ben.

Apologies for not keeping this up to date in the last few weeks.  Things have been pretty hectic.

I have added a few new videos, and updated the subscriptions etc.

Please pop along and have another look.

Some new updates have been included.  A few new subscriptions too - the channel is proving quite popular.

Weeks featured video from Blue in VT, because it shows off the OM-05MT tones superbly.  Great picking blue!

Cheers

Some videos featuring the forum IVs would be a nice addition for next week.
