Larrivee Forum Youtube Channel

As suggested by Strings4Him, I have set up a forum youtube channel.  I am happy to maintain this.  I have subscribed to those who I know (bear in mind I set up my own youtube channel 2 weeks ago, so no offence meant if I have missed you).  I scrolled through the first two pages of the technique and playing board, and added all members who have posted links to videos.

I propose that there are certain boundaries, but that these be vague: -

Any musical style, any genre, but it must be by a forum member, and must be played on a Larrivee, or there must be a Larrivee in the band featured.  I also suggest that all those interested subscribe to the channel, and I will subscribe for the channel back in response, to create a network of larrivee owners and players on youtube.

I have randomly picked a few examples from those who I know post links, I hope they don't mind.  These are added to the favourites list.  If you have a track you would like featured, please post on this thread.  Equally, if I picked one you want removed, let me know by PM.  I will set it up to notify me of responses, and will update the youtube channel promptly.

Here is the link to the channel - http://www.youtube.com/user/larriveeforum/featured - please subscribe and add your own links and others you find to this thread, or PM them to me and I'll add them to the favourites list on youtube.

Not my idea, Strings4Him gets all the credit, with some help from ST on the arrangement.  I'm the middleman with some spare time this evening!

You're on there already!!

I don't know if you want to (or are allowed to) include a demo from a Larrivee dealer, but here's a nice demo from Guitars of Pikesville of the new electric Larrivee RS-4.

His videos are great, I will add a couple and subscribe. I waited until someone else suggested it, but I see no reason why not. I think that this might prove to be a nice bit of free advertising for Larrivee.

Josh (at Guitars of Pikesville) is my local dealer.  He's a great (uhm, make that GREAT) player, as is evidenced by his youtube vids and he's a heck of a nice guy, too.

Cheers Ben!  Thanks for taking the time to put it together and for putting me up there!!

i would like to apologize in advance for any of my videos. It's not the greatest guitar playing,

I believe it to be up to date again now.  Apologies for me being 6 hours ahead of most of you, therefore sleeping when you are all online.

I have subscribed to everyone who has subscribed or contacted me.  I have added Larrivee related videos for each member.  I stuck to 2 from each, picked primarily at random (unless I already had favourites, ha ha), except for Denis and Will, who have 4 each because they are awesome, and GA-ME because I love his 3 videos and couldn't pick, and I believe George has 3 too, again due to overall awesomeness.

If anyone thinks I have the wrong videos up for them, let me know and I can add more, or swap them around.

Thanks to everyone for supporting this idea, maybe Zach will add a link on the forum homepage if it proves to be successful?

Can I also note again that this wasn't my idea, so stop thanking me, thank Strings4Him instead.

My thanks to HIM, Strings4HIM, Ben and anyone else involved in setting this up - nice idea.

I no longer own a Larrivee but I subscribed, if that's ok.

When I clicked on my name  LW216316 in the subscriber list-
it brought up a clip of me playing my nylon string guitar.

Is there a way to change it to bring up a clip of me playing the Larrivee SD-50 I used to have -
here is the link to it

Larry, above your channel homepage are 4 buttons, the last of which says videos and playlists.  Click it, and then change 'featured video' at the bottom right corner from 'most recent upload' to one of your choice, and it will become the first video played on your page.

I added a couple of your videos to the Larrivee channel.

Thanks Ben  :thumb
...that worked...now it uses the SD-50 clip of 'Tears in Heaven'

fond memories of the SD-50 ,
and also of listening to Guitars of Pikesville when I was shopping - he had a clip / demo of an SD-50
and as I recall that was an influence in my deciding to buy an SD-50.
If I were to get another SD now...it would be the SD-60 rosewood model.

- hope all is well with you and family  :bgrin:
