Does anyone know the history of the D03MT (hog top with hog back/sides)?  e.g.  Limited run/store specific model?  Very rare?  Thanks for any info!

I don't know the history but I bought one this fall off a forum member (thanks Dan!!) - after looking around for a while - and it really is a sweet guitar.  Not a bright as a spruce top but wow -  what a balanced, even interesting tone.  I'll follow the thread to see if anyone answers your question - I'm interested in the history too!  Greg

I haven't heard any specific history or story to go with the guitar. Larrivee just made a few of them from time to time as some people like mahogany tops. Also, I'll  guess that when one person ordered one,  Larrivee went ahead and made a few more which were then made available to various dealers.
