Well, I finally got around to recording "Morning Has Broken" after playing it on and off for many years. This arrangement is a recent one for solo guitar, and it falls nicely under the fingers in G. A few harmonics spice it up... Good to have got the Larrivée out and given it a twirl.

Thanks for sharing that, Will  :thumb

very nice arrangement - well played.
That reminds me I want to finish my arrangement of it I started a couple of years ago :bgrin:

I remember hearing Cat make that popular 'back in the day.'

At the time I did not know it was an old cherished Christian hymn.
I only discovered that later when I became a follower.

I understand he has returned to playing guitar and singing.

Somehow you took a song that most folks wouldn't even consider doing without the words, but you gave us an instrumental version with a real nice, interesting arragement, and still retained the song witer's original sentiment.  That is very cool!

I have always loved this song, and used to sing and play it years ago.

I have been getting back into Cat Stevens (Yusef Islam) these days, initially by singing MOONSHADOW to my daughter at bed time.

This arrangement is really, really nice. Did you arrange this yourself? Whether you did or not -- very nice indeed.

Thanks for posting!

Yes, it's my own arrangement. The chords I had for it were in C, but it fitted the fingers better in G!

Cheers, and thanks,

Will

Very good. Now I want to get the chords and give it a try.
Thanks for share your music.

Nicely done, and as an added poetic touch, I liked the morning light breaking across your guitar.

Always good to hear, and see, your stuff. Thanks
